For sale are a series of hand woven, baby alpaca wool, throws made in northern Peru. The wool is worked to produce an animated surface that evokes the grain of the natural landscape. The work engages with remote weaving communities to promote the continuity of their craft and the use of local fibres. The earliest examples of Peruvian textiles containing alpaca wool date from 2500BC.
The woven pieces are hand made to order and will be delivered in the 4 weeks after the show ends in November. Special arrangements can be made for Christmas should you require. Postage and packaging is £8 or alternatiely if you’re Manchester based you can collection from the shop. uests
